WHY VORTEX?
Vortex Gymnastics provides children with a platform for growth and development, helping them to learn new skills in a safe and fun environment.
Children in Vortex Gymnastics get the opportunity to sample a variety of the disciplines of the sport. Vortex is equipped with a range of high quality equipment, which children get to use, with the help and guidance of our coaching team.
As children progress in age and ability, they move along our in-house pathway to ensure that they continue to progress in the sport.
Gymnastics is one of the most comprehensive lifestyle exercise programs available to children, incorporating strength, flexibility, speed, balance, coordination, power, and discipline. Whether they are involved in recreational gymnastics or at high level, skills learned in gymnastics can benefit a child’s overall development. (Robertson, 2018)
Pathway
Within Vortex Gymnastics we have a variety of classes to cater to all levels of interests and abilities.
Generally, new members join our 1hr recreational level classes. Children may then progress onward to the various steps and stages.
Similarly, they can choose to remain at a recreational level class.
Moving to the next class level is done by coach invitation only and will be issued by email.
RECREATIONAL LEVEL
Vortex Gymnastics has designed a recreational class structure around an ethos of gymnastics for all.
We strive to make the time that each child spends in our care learning gymnastics to be an enjoyable experience. Children have the opportunity to learn routines, skills and elements to the best of their own ability.
Vortex Gymnastics hold a number of events throughout the year for all members to partake in and for parents and guardians to spectate. These events are fun, friendly and enjoyable for all levels of gymnastics.
We provide a range of recreational classes to cater for children of all levels of ability, from Preschool (3yrs) right up to secondary school age groups.
COMPETITIVE LEVEL
Vortex Gymnastics competes at a number of Gymnastics Ireland Competitions, as well as International Competitions throughout the year.
At a competitive level, Vortex participates in Acrobatics, Trampolining and Display Gymnastics.
